Talula is a daughter of Willard Lauritz and Bothilda Hansen Frandsen. Married Edgar Lyman Nelson, June 26, 1912, in the Manti LDS Temple. He died April 23, 1962. She was an active member of the LDS Church, having served as Relief Society and Young Women's President, Stake Relief Society Board, Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society teacher. Active member of the DUP having served as Captain and a current board member. She also served on the board of the Mt. Pleasant Historical Association. She wrote many histories and stories for the ''Saga Of The Sanpitch''. Member of the Acme Club.
Survived by nine children, Mrs. Arthur (Dale) Carter, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Virginia Myers, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Cal (Shirley) Jenson, Brigham City; Newel Nelson, Burley, Idaho; Willard Lyman Nelson, Bountiful; Mrs. Ralph (Roxey) Washburn, Mt.Pleasant; Mrs. Jerry (Dolma) Christensen, Pullman, Washington; Mrs. Theodore (Charlotte) Thornton, American Falls, Idaho; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Frank (Phyllis) Riley, Mt. Pleasant; 38 grandchildren; 105 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louise F. Seely, Lucille F. Averett. Preceded in death by a son, Robert Nelson.
