Sarah Neely married John Carothers (1725-1783) on 14 Aug 1748, in Carlisle, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

After the death of her husband, Sarah Carothers moved to Steele Creek to live with her son James.

Thanks to wills left by both John and Sarah Carothers, we know the names of their children: Robert, James, Margaret (m. Sloan), John, William, Andrew, Samuel, Ezekiel, Archibald, Isabella (m. Woodward), and Jean (m. Neely).
