Mrs. Amanda L. Cowell, 90, died Saturday afternoon at the Garden Nursing Home, Phillipsburg, where she had been a guest for the last 15 months. She formerly lived at 221 Chambers St., Phillipsburg.
Born Nov. 20, 1872, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Louise Schaeffer. She had lived in Phillipsburg for the last 60 years.
She was a member of Wesley Methodist Church, the Adult Bible Class and the WSCS of the church.
Her husband, William Frank Cowell, died 15 years ago.
Surviving is a sister, Miss Ida Schaeffer of Reading.
Funeral Services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Rupell Funeral Home.
