Wooldridge: Mrs. Sallie A. Wooldridge
was born in Virginia Oct. 28, 1830,
and moved, with her parents, James A. and
Martha Norvell, to Saline county, Mo., when quite a small child at nine years, of age and
settled on a farm, near Cambridge,
Saline county, and lived there, with her parents, until she was 22. years of age and was
then married to Francis M. Wooldridge and still continued to live in Saline county until Dec. 12,
1901, when she moved, with her son, J. W. Wooldridge, to Brunswick, Mo., and resided there until her death at 7:50 p. m. Sunday, July 24, 1904. Funeral services were held at her home
Monday at 4 p. m. by Rev. B. F. Heaton of Brunswick and Eld. H. Eubank of Triplett, after
which her mortal remains were
laid to rest in the beautiful Elliott Grove
cemetery. The deceased joined the Methodist
church when quite young and
lived a true Christian life until death.
She leaves three children, J. W. Wooldridge of Brunswick and Mrs. J. D. Wolfskill
and Miss Mary Wooldridge of
Slater, Mo., besides nine grand
children and a host of relatives
and friends to mourn her death.
She was a dutiful wife, a good
and kind mother and a sweet
and loving grandmother and was
always ready to do all she could
to make others happy, but she
has gone now to a better world
where her sufferings are at an
end. May we strive to follow in
the footsteps of this good and
noble Christian woman.
A True and Loving Friend.
