Obed Nelson resided with his son and daughter-in-law Leslie F. and Ella Marie Nelson for a few years before his death. He went into a convalescent home near their home in North Hollywood, CA due to failing health and died there on May 2, 1977.
Survived by son and daughters; Leslie Ferdinand, Mary Jensen, Lucy Jensen. One sister, Helen Helson.
