Iowa- Joseph Reviss Arabie, 90, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in St. Patrick Hospital.

Joseph was born August 1, 1924 in Fenton to Jency and Andrew Arabie. He served in the U. S. Marines in Guadalcanal, serving altogether 2.5 years on the front lines in World War II.

He survived by his wife, Florida Arabie of Iowa, LA; daughter, Beverly Cormier of Welsh, LA; step-children, Jackie Guillory of Atlanta, GA and Wade Guillory of Iowa, LA; along with 4 sisters, Viola Cormier, Betty Piserell, Jean Kleven, and Dean Trahan; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. His son, James Arabie; his parents; sister, Nita Pousson, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 1 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
