Marie Levesque 1919-2003

At the Grand Falls General Hospital, May 26, 2003, Mrs. Marie (Bernier) Levesque of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 84 years.

She was the wife of the late Evangeliste 'Vangy' Levesque. Born at Grand Falls in 1919, she was a daughter of the late Noel and Louise (Beaulieu) Bernier.

Mrs. Levesque was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 21.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Joseph Bernier and two sisters, Yvette Beaulieu and Carmelle Bennett.

She is survived by two sons, Ernie (Velva) of Grand Falls and Gilles (Gord McEwan) of St. Catharines, Ontario, six daughters, Noella Violette (Maurice) of Cornwall, Ontario, Florence Thompson (Edward 'Tom') of Dover, Delaware, Yolande Vallee (Roland) of Cornwall, Alvine Rioux (Glenn) of Grand Falls, Aline Levesque of Smith Falls, Ontario, and Louise Rioux (Rejean) of Grand Falls, 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, three sisters and four brothers, Corinne Nolan of Edmundston, Arnaldo (Celine) of Gaspe, Quebec, Wilfred (Annette), Nelson (Pauline), Alvine Aubut and Gerard (Jeanne d'Arc) of Grand Falls and Parise Payton of Lake Bluff, Illinois, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, May 28th at 4 p.m. from the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls. Interment will follow in the Assumption Cemetery.

For those who wish, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Grand Falls Regional Food Bank would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls.
