Mrs. Blanche Irene Stratton, 84, formerly of 126 West North Street, Hillsboro, died Monday about 11:30 P.M. at the Williamsburg Nursing Home where she had resided for some time. She was the widow of A. N. Stratton.
She was born in Hillsboro on Dec. 7, 1883, the daughter of Louis and Catherine Custer Fahrlender and had resided here most of her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Penn Sr., Hillsboro and Mrs. Charles R. Tipps, Williamsburg; one son, Ronald Stratton, Chicago, Ill; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held on Thursday at 2 P.M. at the Hope Miller Funeral Home with Rev. H. B. Shiltz officiating and burial following in Hillsboro Cemetery.
