98, died peacefully May 9, 2010, with her husband by her side. Born June 4, 1911, to Joseph and Naomi Schladenhauffen Herbst in Roanoke, Ill., she married Emory Lemons on Jan. 13, 1935. He died Oct. 17, 1950. There were three children from this union: Robert, Steven, and Marcia. Clara was baptized in the Apostolic Christian Church in April 1938, where she remained true and faithful the rest of her life. She married Floyd Banwart on June 1, 1952. He assisted in the raising of her children. They would have celebrated their 58th anniversary in June. Clara was a homemaker who loved her family and her church. She is survived by her husband, Floyd; children, Robert Lemons (Betty), Fort Scott, KS; Steven Lemons (Betty), Vienna, VA; and Marcia Banks, Goodyear, AZ; as well as seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Margaret; as well as brothers, Gene, Joe, and Marvin; niece, Shirley; nephew, Jon; and great-niece, Jane. Visitation set from 6:00-8:00pm Friday May 14, 2010 at Hansen Mortuary 8314 N. 7th St. Phx. Services set for 10:00am Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Apostolic Christian Chruch 9230 N. 26th St. Phx.
