At the age of 75, Lawrence "Larry" Paul Davis, passed away on February 16, 2001

He was born on Nov. 30, 1925, in Bernice, LA, to Steve and Josie (Green) Davis. In 1952, he moved to Wichita, KS where he met and married the love of his life Mary Criner on October 17, 1953. They relocated to Newalla, OK in 1964.

During his life, he was employed for the Air Force in civil service for 32 years and then transferred to Lear Seigler, an aircraft manufacturing conglomerate. He was in charge of the moving and placement of the B-52 airplane to the Fair Grounds and was known as the "Father of the B-52".

Being reared rural north Louisiana, he loved to hunt, fish, work in the garden, and make wood furniture for his family.

Besides Mary his wife, Larry is survived by a son, James S. Davis and wife, Tiffany of LaVeta, CO; daughter, Laura Jo Bourlon and husband, Larry Ray of Harrah, OK; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jo Thurman of Lillie, LA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by an older sister Grace Davis Fulmer.

Memorial service was held at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to Shepherd's Chapel at P. O. Box 416, Gravette, AR 72736.
