"Latham -- Rollo R. Davenport, 71, of Latham, husband of ... for 26 years, died Monday, April 8, 2002 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Mr. Davenport was born in Albany, the son of the late Rollo A. and Grace E. Crow Davenport. He attended Phillip Livingston Junior High School and Albany High School and received his high school equivalency in 1975. Mr. Davenport served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant from 1951 to 1955, stationed in Libya in 1953 and Del Rio, Texas in 1954, and he was in the active reserves until 1958. He was a town of Colonie fire inspector and arson investigator from 1973 to 1983. He owned and operated Davenport Electric in Latham from 1983 until 1998, when he retired. Mr. Davenport was a life member of the S.W. Pitts Hose Company in Latham, and he was an active member of the fire police. He was a life member of the West Albany Fire Company #1 and was a member of the West Albany Volunteer Ambulance Service for eight years. He was also a member of the Watervliet Fish and Game Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister-in-law,...; a niece... and her children, ...; and a nephew.... Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Memory's Garden in Colonie.
