Nina was born to Sylvia (Harden) and George Frances Potter. She married Ross Felts Baldwin in 1906 in Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., Iowa and they had four children (and possibly a fifth child who died shortly after birth). They were divorced after 1920 and she married George Sickels in 1924 in Independence, Iowa. They had two children together; one died in infancy. She worked at Indpendence Canning Corp. in 1948 at age 60 and lived in the same house in Independence at least since the early 1940's. She died at Independence Care Center at age 95.
