George Sentis Deslandes, aged 60, of 1005 6th Ave. W., died in hospital this morning following a brief illness. Born at St. Helier, Jersey, Channel Island, Mr. Deslandes came to Pincher Creek, Alberta, and had resided there from 1902 to 1918. He was employed with Woods and Steel Co. as a civil engineer and then moved to Calgary in 1918. From that time until 1936 he had been employed by the Dominion Government in Calgary. For the past year and a half, Mr. Deslandes had been employed by the Petroleum Natural Gas Conservation Board as a draftsman. He was a member of the Central United church. Surviving are his wife, Constance, Calgary; three daughters, Mrs. L.E. Larson, Drumheller; Constance and Joyce, both of Calgary. Funeral services will be conducted at the Jacques funeral home on Monday at 1:30 o'clock, with Rev. E. Melville Aitken officiating. Interment will be in Burnsland cemetery.
