Survivors include: his wife, Janet Polsgrove, Lexington; one son, Joseph S. Polsgrove II; and a granddaughter, Haley M. Polsgrove, both of NC.
Newspaper articles indicate that he was buried in the Ward Family Cemetery at Boone's Camp in Johnson Co KY on 23 Aug 2003. The Veterans Administration shows his death as 30 July 2003 which is the date his body was found at the plane crash site.
