Lewis Reid Beck 2/17/1929 - 4/29/2012

Lewis Reid Beck passed away April 29, 2012 in St. George, Utah. He was born February 17, 1929 to Joseph Ishmael and Mabel Black Beck in Spring City, Utah. he married Norene Bangerter on April 8, 1949, later solemnized in the Salt Lake temple. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return, he graduated from BYU with degrees in accounting, finance and banking. He served as Chief Accountant for the Davis County School District for 30 years. He and his wife served an LDS Mission in Alaska where he served as Branch President. Lewis loved camping, fishing, travel and most of all, spending time with his family. he was adored by everyone and was our source of unconditional love. He was our hero and an amazing example of courage while dealing with multiple physical challenges. he always smiled, never complained, and treated each day as a miracle. Norene was the love of his life, his constant companion, and an amazing caregiver until the end.

Survived by wife, Norene; four daughters, Jeanette Peck, Jeanenne (Rich) Larson, Susan (Craig) Buehler and Sandy (Kelly) Devereaux; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and brother, Joseph m. Beck. Preceded in death by sisters Ida Stubbs and Dora Arnoldson, and great grandson Troy Boulton.

The family wishes to thank Dr. William Goodger, Nicole Walters, and the staff of Dixie Regional Medical Center for their exceptional and compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, may 5 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main St., Bountiful where family and friends may call on Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. and from 9;45 - 10:45 A.M. before the funeral. internment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
