Melissa "Lisa" Anderson Talley, 46 of Guyton, Georgia, wife of Thomas V. Talley, Jr., passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, after a courageous battle with breast cancer.
Lisa was born September 16, 1962, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Hazel Anderson and the late James R. Anderson. Lisa graduated from Cherokee High School in 1980 where she was active in the marching band and chorus. She recently worked as an administrator at Memorial Day School in Savannah.
Surviving are her husband of 17 years, Thomas V. Talley, Jr. of Guyton, Georgia; one daughter, Emma Nicole Talley of the home; one son, Eric Ryan Summer of Canton, Georgia; her mother Hazel Anderson of Canton, Georgia; two sisters, Gail Garrett and her husband, Keith, of Mableton, Georgia, and Judy Key and her husband, Doug, of Canton, Georgia; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Vic, Sr. and Jane Talley of Douglasville, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Spring Tweedell and her husband, Mike, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock Friday at Whitley-Garner at Rosehaven Funeral Home, Douglasville, with a memorial service being held at 7 o'clock in the funeral home chapel.
