BOWLBY, Florence A. Browne 96, passed away on September 13th. She was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. James D. Bowlby, US Army, Retired. Also by her daughter; Constance L. Miller-Bauer, parents; Charles F. and Charlotte M. Browne sisters, Ida M. Akerland, Natalie B. Hime, and Phyllis M. Richey. Surviving Florence are sisters; Barbara B. Dillon of Scottsdale, Arizona, Elizabeth L. 'Betsy' of Kettering, and Claire Bohachek of Oakwood. Also surviving her are nieces and nephews; John 'Skip' Dillon of Hermatage, Tennessee, Barbee Lynn Bennington of Scottsdale, Arizona, Susan Parks of Centerville, Kip and Clay Bohachek of Oakwood, Randy Bohachek of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Michael Hime of Edina, Minnesota, Dane Hime of Roekford, Illinois, Diane Hime of Burgaw, North Carolina, Steve Richey of Austin Texas, and Charl Jensen of Johnsburg, Illinois. Florence served as a secretary for General Dynamics for many years. She was a Member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Chapter 551, Heath, Ohio, also a member of the Dayton Chapter of Business Women of America. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff of One Lincoln Park for their kind and willing assistance to us during this trying time. Also to the Home Instead staff for their hours of warm and capable care of Florence. The staff of Senior Independence served Florence and her family with amazing consideration and efficiency. A special thank you to the Hospice Nurse, Ava Lewis, for her hours of warmth and caring for Florence. We feel assured that her loving care brought comfort to Florence in her final days.

Services for Florence will be held on Saturday, July 26th at 10am at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Pike, Dayton 45429.
