CHATFIELD, Minn. — Garold
E. Casler, 68, Chatfield, died this
morning at Olmsted Community
Hospital, Rochester, following a
lengthy illness.
A retired painter, he was born
May 14, 1906 at Ridgeway,
Minn, to Fred and Myrta Jen-
kinson Casler. He married Alice
Norton Aug. 18, 1925. in Winona.
He was a painter 25 years for
Douglas Aircraft. Los Angeles,
Calif., retiring in 1958 and mov-
ing back to Chatfield.
Survivors are: his wife; three
sons, Darrel F. Casler Chat-
field; Robert Casler, Cologne,
Minn, and K. J. Casler, River
Falls, Wisc.; three daughters,
Mrs. Einer (Beth) Hyen, Silver
Lake, Minn.; Mrs. James (Ar-
dith) Plank, Chatfield, and
Mrs. Gerri Temple, Lomita, Calif.;
20 grandchildren; six great-
grandchildren:1 brother- Richard
Casler, Winona, and a sister,
Mrs. James (Verna) Park. Winona.
Private funeral services will
be Monday afternoon at Akeson-
Riley Funeral Home, Chatfield,
the Rev. Clinton Becker, Chat-
field United Methodist Church,
officiating. Burial will be in
Grandview Memorial Gardens,
Rochester.
There will be no visitation at
the funeral home.
A memorial is being arranged.
