UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS - WORLD WAR II

Howard C. Henderson Jr., age 92, of LAC passed away Sunday, July 13th.

Born in Bridgeton he was the son of the late Howard C. Sr. and Cordelia Wilson Henderson.

He was a US Marine Corp. veteran serving in WWII and received the Purple Heart.

Mr. Henderson was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He was a member of the Canton United Methodist Church, Salem County Draft Board and the LAC Ruritan Club.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his son, Howard C. Henderson III (Mary) of Queen Valley, AZ; his daughter, Nancy Mitchell (Bruce) of LAC; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife, Mary Jane Henderson; his second wife, Frances Finlaw Henderson; and son, William (Mo) Henderson.

Services will be in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd.,Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call. Burial will be in Fernwood Memorial Park, Hopewell Twp.
