Mrs. Minnie Pearl Sebree, 73, of Toledo, OH, went home to be with The Lord, Saturday, July 12, 2014, in her home in the presence of her blessed and loving family. She was born in Mound Bayou, MS to the union of Rueben and Hattie Peters. She was joined in holy matrimony with Roy Sebree, 44 years. Mrs. Sebree retired from the National City bank in 1992, after which she and her family started her own food company. She went from selling her delicious baked goods to catering from her home. Thereafter she established the Sebree Restaurant and Catering Service which led to her creation of Aunt Minnie's Food, Inc., where she was the Founder and President with her daughter, Claudia, serving as the C.E.O. Aunt Minnie's is, respectfully, the only African American owned "frozen food" product on the grocery store shelves nationally as well as bearing her facial image on the packages. She is survived by loving and devoted husband, Roy D. Sebree; daughters, Claudia (Rickey) Pressley and Elizabeth Denise (Michael) Douglas; son, Carl (Liz) Jay Sr.; 6 grand and 2 great-grandchildren; wonderful and loving stepdaughter, Trina Clayborne-Spence; precious sister, Livvie King and Marquetta Brooks; brothers, Charles (Ernestine), Johnny (Cynthia) and Rueben (Patricia) Peters; special sisters, Joetta (Uncle Sammy) Davis and Kathy (Baron) Robinson; special love for Kathy Roe, Eddie Tucker Sr., Eddie Jr. and Victoria and a host of other loving relatives, associates and kind friends. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014, at The C. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel, 1629 Nebraska Avenue. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, preceded by Family Hour/Wake Services at 12 noon at the Cornerstone Church, 1520 S. Reynolds Road. Pastor David Bank, Officiant. cbrownfuneralhome.comPublished in Toledo Blade on July 16, 2014
