GLADYS LAURA CREWS HINES, 97, 905 Westgate, died Friday, April 23, 1999, at home.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Stough officiating. Burial will be at Duncan Cemetery.
Mrs. Hines was a longtime Duncan area resident. She was born Jan. 5, 1902, in Godley, Texas, to Tom D. and Agatha (Drake) Crews. Her parents preceded her in death.
She married Henry C. Dixon in 1918. They were no longer married when he preceded her in death in 1944.
She married James Edward Hines on Aug. 4, 1933, in Duncan. He preceded her in death Jan. 27, 1970.
Mrs. Hines was retired from Lemons-Lights-Strains Bakeries in Duncan. She belonged to home demonstration clubs in the Empire and Rock Creek areas. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Marjorie Crews of Yukon; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Crews of Norman; a grandson, Chet Dixon of Duncan; two great-granddaughters, Laura Dixon and Sara Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Claude Crews, Raymond Crews and Vincent Crews; and one sister, Willie Sims.
Bearers will be Billy Ray Sims, Calvin Sims, Lee Ahlfenger, Mark Gourney, Warren Myers and Merlyn Smith.
