G. H. Busby

At his home in this city, G. H. Busby died, on last Sunday, at the age of 42 years, 9 months and 17 days, after a long illness of a complication of diseases.

Mr. Busby was a son of William M. Busby, one of the pioneer citizens of Lawrence County. His mother was a Miss Springer and he was a descendant of that leading Lawrence County family also. Several brothers live here, among them, S. J., Sam T., P. J., John and W. A. Busby.

The funeral services were held at the home on Monday afternoon at 4:15 followed by interment at Mimosa. The funeral services were conducted by Elder T. C. King.

Mr. Busby leaves a wife and seven children. He was a good-hearted, industrious man and well liked. Always cheerful, the ravages of disease never caused him to complain or grow despondent. We join the family and many friends in sorrow over his death.
