On April 3, 2014, Bettye Jo King, at the age of 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She has been rejoined with her husband, "Cotton", Frank James King who preceded her home. They were married for 57 years.
She is also preceded by her father, Eugene Jefferson Miller; her mother, Fern Griffin Miller; and her brother, Eugene Jefferson Miller, II.
She is survived by her only child, Miranda Kay King Gregory.
Visitation for Bettye Jo King was held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside services were held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Turner Cemetery, Turner, Arkansas. Brother Bert Thomas of St. Charles Baptist Church and Brother Rodger Hooker will officiate.
