Ada is a daughter of John Samuel Eames and Dorcas Regena Hansen - the second of four children. Her siblings are Elsie Irene, Elnora Dora, and John. Her father was an immigrant from England, her mother was a daughter of Utah pioneers. Ada grew up in Teton where her father was a teamster. Her little brother died when he was only three years old.
Ada married Benjamin Franklin Kirkham in Sugar City, Idaho on December 11, 1909. They became parents to five children: Dorcas Irene, John Lee, Glenn K, Don, and Benjamin Keith. Don died of pneumonia when he was a couple of weeks old. The other children lived to adulthood.
The family lived in Sugar City, Rexburg, Lyman, California, and then came back to Idaho in retirement.
