Ray Anderson, 86, of Wichita Falls, died on Sunday, March 2, 2014.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Free officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
A son of the late Lydia (Claxton) and Hill Anderson, Ray was born on July 19, 1927, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Ray dedicated his life to the ministry of the Lord and felt a special calling to minister to small churches. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who loved spending time with his family.
Along with his parents, Ray was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Anderson and a sister, Jewel Frossard.
Ray is survived by his wife, Rose Anderson of Wichita Falls; children, Rodney Anderson and wife, Arthea, of San Diego, CA, Renee Beckham and husband, Neill
of Wichita Falls and Robin Brown and husband, Ron, of Budapest, Hungary; brothers, Paul Anderson of Aurora, CO and Homer Anderson and wife, Lorraine of Arvada, CO;9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
