John W. Danner, 78, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Wash.

Mr. Danner was born March 27, 1925, in Rich Hill, Mo. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army for many years and was honorably discharged in 1949. He spent much of his life as a steel worker with Armco Steel before he retired. He also spent much of his time working as a mechanic, which led to his passion for cars. He also enjoyed fishing and motorcycle riding. He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald D. Danner.

His survivors include two sons, Rick Danner and Johnnie Danner; a daughter, Debbie Kalwei, Independence; two sisters, Darlene Arseneau and Mary Greg; a nephew, John W. Elza, Tacoma, Wash.; and a niece, Mary Rash, Temple, Texas.

Arrangements were under the direction of Mountain View Funeral Home, Tacoma.
