Julia was the daughter of Abraham Comer (1802-1856) and Matilda Drake (1806-1833) and had siblings: Sophia (1822) and Sarah (1829). Her mother, Matilda Drake, was the daughter of David and Mary Melick Drake of Pennsylvania. Her father was in Licking County in 1830. After Matilda's death, he married Eve Harsh 23 August 1835 in Hocking, Ohio. Julia married Augustin(e) "Gus" M. Williams about 1851 and had seven children: Mary Viola (1853) Electa(1855-1900)), Alice(1859-1888), Hugh (1869-1932), Marinda (1872), and Iva (1874). Julia had a half-sister, Matilda (Roby), born in 1836 and died 1912 in Hocking County. Matilda died from paralysis of old age at the age of 81 years 4 months and 9 days.
