Pvt. Nile E. Strait, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Strait, entered the service April 5, 1943. He received his basic training at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts, and was transferred to Hawaii in Dec. 1943. Later he took part in the invasion of Saipan in the Mariana Islands.
Pvt. Strait is a first cousin to Sgt. Delmont Strait, who was killed in action September 27 over Germany.
