Maria (Silva) Cieplik, 70, passed away January 24, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center with her loving family by her side.
Born in Bridgeport, CT to Sezaltina (Pinheiro) Silva and the late Silvino Silva, she was a 50 year resident of Indian Orchard.
Maria was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church where she was a member of the Rosary Sodality, the Immaculate Conception Seniors and a volunteer at the annual church picnic. She had worked as a sales associate at Sears. She enjoyed trips to the casino and reading books.
She leaves her husband of 49 years, Thomas Cieplik; her mother, Sezaltina Silva; her children, John Cieplik and his wife Lynn of Ludlow, Lynne Peluso and her husband Joseph of Ludlow and Steven Cieplik and his partner Chip Murdock of Orlando, FL; a sister, Roseann Hanson and her husband Gary of Newtown, CT; 3 grandchildren, Maria Cieplik, Joseph Peluso and Thomas Peluso; 3 nieces, Tina Cronin and her husband Mark of Trumbull, CT, Amy Hanson of Boca Raton, FL and Erica Belden and her husband Keith of Monroe, CT and loving great-nieces and nephews, Mark, Emily, Keith and Samantha.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 30, 2014 assembling at 10:00 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.
