Nether was oldest daughter and child of WH Martin and Effie Beach Martin of SC. She was married to Le Roy Collins of Savannah. She had three children- Le Roy, Jimmy and Betty. According to family stories, she could make you laugh and was very much loved by her siblings, children, nieces and nephews. She died after eating a banana to which she was extremely allergic. She shares gravesite with sister Mae Martin Nichols.
