Phebe was the daughter of Neil and Elizabeth Gest of Franklin County, Alabama. Neil moved to Scott County Arkansas and then on to Dayton, Washington. Phebe married Isaac Bennett in the mid 1850's in more than likely Franklin County, Alabama and soon moved to Tishomingo County, Mississippi in the Old Bethel area. Isaac died in the 1870's after he and Phebe had four children; Elizabeth, Frank, Emily, and Johnny. Phebe died in 1917 in Prentiss County and is the only member of her family to be buried in Siloam Cemetery to my knowledge. A large group of her kin are buried about a mile through the woods in the Massey Cemetery though.
