OPAL ARLENE HUDGINS WARREN, 84, of Texas City went to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her residence at Bay Oaks in Texas City.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Poynor Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Warren was born October 14, 1929 in Linden, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ted R. Warren.
Survivors include her sister Merle Moulder of Lufkin, Texas; her brother Troy Hudgins and wife Rose of Buffalo, Texas; her daughters Alana Hilden and husband Sonny and Cathy Holbrook; her son Rondall Warren and wife Becky all of Texas City, Texas; five grandchildren, Elliott R. Palmer Jr., Kriste Smothers and husband Tommy, Ted Hilden and wife Amanda, Ronnie Warren and wife Wendy and Sara Warren; six great-grandchildren Aaron Smothers, Willy Palmer, Alyssa Smothers, Reagan Warren, Cody Hilden and Corbin Warren; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was a wonderful caregiver to all.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Bay Oaks Nursing Staff and A-Med Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Elliott Palmer, Ronnie Warren, Tommy Smothers, Ted Hilden, Aaron Smothers and Willy Palmer.
