A quiet, easy-going main, endowed with a sense of humor, Clifford John Westvig worked in Iowa before returning to his native Minneapolis, where he was subsequently employed with two of the Twin Cities leading clothiers, Rothschild's and Juster Brothers. At the latter company, Clifford started as a window trimmer in 1921, and won national awards in trade competition. He later became advertising manager for the same firm, retiring December 19, 1962.
On May 21, 1913, Clifford married Cora Edith Frasher at 1263 Hamline Avenue North, St. Paul, with Reverend Emmet Campbell performing the vows. Mr. and Mrs. Westvig used to take annual vacations to visit their son, Roger, in California. Currently the Westvigs reside at 3342 France Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
