Ruth Elaine Bossard, 79, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. She was born May 12, 1934 in Forsythe, Montana to Bud and Helen Lamm. Her family moved to Norfolk, Neb. where she met Arthur Bossard. They eloped to Yankton, S.D. where they were married on January 6, 1951. After living two years in Norfolk, they moved to Lincoln, Neb. where they raised three sons and celebrated 62 years of marriage. Ruth worked 42 years in state government. Her last 22 years were spent as Administrative Assistant to Nebraska Supreme Court Judge Leslie Boslaugh. Ruth was fun loving and a voracious reader in addition to being an avid Husker football fan. She was a believer in Jesus Christ and was loved and admired by her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Arthur R. Bossard of Lincoln; son, Michael Bossard and his wife, Sherri, of Lincoln; son, Patrick Bossard and his wife, Jeannette, of Kansas City; and son, Brian Bossard and his wife, Monica, of Lincoln; grandchildren, Ben Bossard, his wife Jennifer and their sons Josiah, Jacob, and Eli; Luke Bossard, his wife Ruth and their children Brooks and Elise; Travis Bossard and his wife Annie; Linlin Luo; Alethea Leondakis; Vincent Bossard and his wife Brittany; Jill Hull, her husband Tyler and their children Easton, Declan, and Hadlee; and Sarah Bossard. Ruth is also survived by her sister, Barbara Haines (Jim) of Marysville, Wash.; her brother, Rob Lamm (Barbara) of Norfolk, Neb.; and brother, John Lamm (Marie) of San Dimas, Calif. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, David Lamm.

Funeral service will be 2 pm Thursday at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln, with Pastor Bob Rice officiating. Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery, Lincoln. Ruth requested that memorials be designated for Dr. Hector Marquez, Evangelist, Venezuela in care of the family.
