Martha L Rogers, 63, of Salina, passed Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at her home. She was born Sept. 4, 1950 in Clinton, Okla.
She was a certified medical lab assistant and worked for Drs. Harris, Hodges, and Marshall, COMCARE and Salina Clinic. In 1978 she married Michael K. Rogers in Philipsburg. She loved to spend her time fishing, camping with family and getting lost in a good book. Her heart was always open and she truly was a mother to all.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Eleanor Fender and an infant son, Theodore James. Survivors include her husband, Michael; son, Jonathan Rogers and wife Clarissa of Salina; daughter, Stephanie Nelson and husband Justin of Stoughton, Wis., and three grandchildren, Evan, Aiden and Jaxon.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Ryan Mortuary with the Rev. Dr. Joe Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
The family suggests memorials to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, to assist in Parkinson's disease research.
