Pam was the daughter of Patricia Falcigno Meeker and Thomas Meeker. She had a sister Sandra and a brother Craig.
Pam attended Moses Y. Beach Elementary School and was scheduled to go to Robert H. Early Middle School in the fall before her accident.
Her maternal grandmother was Sylvia Falcigno and paternal grandmother Marie Burke.
Pam was active in Girl Scouts as well.
On a personal note. I'm making this memorial because I knew Pam. We were born the same year, she lived a few blocks away from me. We were in the same grade and I had her all my classes from Kindergarten through 5th grade. She tried to be a tough girl sometimes but she was really a good kid. Can't get that red hair out of my mind.
Pam was hit by a car on the afternoon of August 7th, 1975 near 50 East Main St. in Wallingford.
She was rushed to hospital in Meriden, then to Yale in New Haven but didn't make it.
No charges were ever filed in the accident.

On a personal note:

Pam was first person my age whoever passed away in my life, I think of her often, here it is almost 40 yrs later and her death still bothers me. She should've been in that group of us kids walking and skateboarding to Robert Early that fall. Life was just taking shape for most of us. 12-13 years old, turning the corner from little kid to young adult. My younger son is turning 13 in a few weeks, and I can't imagine what I would do if he was ever taken away from me tragically as Pam was from her family.
Rest in peace Pam. It's been a long time but you aren't forgotten. Ever. I'm sure that red hair is glistening in Heaven.
