Clarence H. Dalton, 86, of Greensburg, went to be with his Lord & Savior on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Arbor Grove Nursing Home. Clarence was born on March 19, 1928, in Middletown, OH, son of Lester and Irene (Kash) Dalton. After serving time in the U.S. Navy, Clarence married Juanita “Jean” McQueen on January 27, 1950, in Franklin, Ohio, and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2012.
Clarence worked as a Corrugated Cardboard Press Operator Supervisor first at Hankins Containers in Miamisburg, OH and then Indiana Box Makers in Connersville, IN, where retired from in the 1990’s. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church and also the Lions Club. He enjoyed spending time fishing, camping, boating, traveling, singing and playing his harmonica.
He is survived by two daughters – Deborah (Robert) Brewer of Blowing Rock, NC and Linda (Fred) Huber of Greensburg, one son Joe (Beverly) Dalton of Laurel, IN; two sisters – Barbara Ann Janeway and Delores Grubb; one brother Jerry Dalton; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean, three sisters Phyllis Jean Dalton, Elizabeth Clapp, Sandra Miller, one brother Roger Dalton.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Greensburg from 10AM until the start of the Funeral Service 12PM.
