He retired from maintainence education at Lab school at Terre Haute after 18 years. He had also worked at Clinton coal mines.
Memberships include First Baptist Church at Clinton where he served as a deacon, Sunday School Teacher and usher. He was also a member of Clinton Moose Lodge 1501.
