My great grandfather was born on March 5, 1918 to Commander Frank Fisher and the former Clara Felkey. He was born in the midst of the First World War, in which his father was fighting. Afterwards, two sisters (one of which died in infancy) and a brother were added to the family.
Walt married my great grandma, Maxine Losey, when they both were fairly young. They had two sons. Sadly, the marriage ended in divorce.
Walt eventually remarried, this time to Daisy, or as she was more commonly known, Purly, Foster. Their marriage was a happy one and they remained very much in love until Purly preceded him in death in 1985. He never remarried.
Great Granddad worked at Clark's Equipment from 1936 until he retired. He genuinely loved his job and the people that he worked with.
He enjoyed sports, model airplanes, golf, bowling, and horse races.
Both Walt and Purly trusted in Jesus Christ as their Savior later in life, so I trust that I'll meet them one day.
