He was named after his father ( father died while serving in Spanish American War) George was a WW1 Army Veteran. Husband of a nurse: Gwendolyn Howison (1899 -1993). Marriage in Williamstown MA 30 June 1922 ( at his bride's parent's house in North Adams MA) Married for 63 years❤. Williams College class of 1921. He even ran track for 3 years. Eventually he was a professor for both Williams College and Amherst College Son of George W. Alderman and Allie S. Middlebrook . No known children. Retired to Saco ME (Georgetown ME area)and Bath ME after inheritance of his mother's property and assets. According to newspaper's reporting in Williamstown MA, his mom would tag along to his lectures. Lived a while in Pelham MA. And a selectman in Georgetown, ME A Deacon of 1st Baptist Church in Georgetown. George was also he executor of his father in law's estate. I'm very proud of him. What an exemplary life!
