Mr. Racketa was born May 6, 1927, in Sharon, a son of
Samuel and Mary Roskos Racketa.
He was a 1945 graduate of Sharon High School and served
with the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Ed retired in 1984 from the former Sharon Transformer
Division of Westinghouse Electric Corp. following more than 35 years of employment.
He also did house painting and masonry work for family and friends.
Ed was a lifelong area residentand a member of many
social, civic and fraternal organizations.
Surviving are: his wife, the former Ida I. Raykie, whom
he married Sept. 11, 1954.
Besides his parents, Ed was preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel and Lester Racketa; and a sister, Ethel Johnston.
