Obituary
Maureen A. Beckley, 74, of Boulder, CO, passed away peacefully at Frasier Meadows Health Care center on Tuesday, March 11. She had been a resident of the care center for more than six years following a massive stroke.
Maureen was born in Buffalo, NY, to William and Anne (Kelly) Beckley who preceded her in death. She attended public schools in Buffalo and Bryant and Stratton Business College. She worked as an internal auditor at Adam, Meldrum and Anderson Department Store in Buffalo for many years before moving to Boulder in 1999. She was close to her family and adored her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland where her mother was born. Maureen was a devout Roman Catholic with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother. While in Boulder, she attended Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert Beckley of Boulder and John (Lorene) Beckley of Naples, FL, a sister, Barbara (Fred) McGehan of Boulder, and six nieces and nephews, Karen (Richard) Douglas of New City, NY, William (Jane) Beckley of Congers, NY, Michael (Gail) Beckley of Ponte Vedra, FL, John (Julie)McGehan of Boulder, Matthew (Windy) McGehan of Longmont, and Anne McGehan of Boulder.
Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Boulder on Friday, March 14th at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at the United French and German Cemetery in Buffalo, NY.
