BARTOW -- Mr. Aubrey E. Watson of Bartow died of heart failure Monday (Sept. 6, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 72. Born in Chilton County, Ala., on Nov. 28, 1931, he came to Bartow from Plano, Ill., two years ago. He was a dye setter for Lyon Metal Products in Lyon. He was a former member and president of the U.S.W.A. Local Union No. 1636, Aurora, Ill. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Karen A. Watson; sons, Ken Watson, Dehaven, Ala., Stan Watson, Albertville, Ala., Robert Watson, Altoona, Ala., Mark Watson, Huntley, Ill., Jeff Watson, North Aurora, Ill., Therman Rogers, Compton, Ill., Junior Rogers, Mississippi; daughters, Leann Rogers, Memphis, Tenn., Kellie Medlock, New Albany, Miss.; sister, Mary Louise Sparks, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 32 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren.
