Born March 3, 1937, in Boston, Mass, he was the son of the late Robert Cobb Myers and Marion Olive Boutillier. He was the husband of Dorothy Raub Myers, his wife of 57 years, whom he married after meeting in 1953 at the bus stop, his senior year of high school. They married on June 23, 1956.

After graduating from Newark College of Engineering, he worked for a time in Trenton, NJ for The Thermoid Co. and for Ajax Magnathermic Co., but was employed for most of his working career in various engineering and executive capacities for Inductotherm Group of companies in Rancocas, NJ which included Consarc Corp and Jomar Corp. He retired from Inductotherm in May 1993 and moved to Long Beach Island (Surf City), NJ where he enjoyed a life at the Jersey shore.

His activities were ongoing and numerous. He was an Eagle Scout at age 14 and continued to enjoy the outdoors. He loved boating, fishing, crabbing and photography. He was a wonderful musician, teaching himself to play the guitar, banjo, ukulele, and piano.

He was a descendant of the famous Cobb Twins, Cyrus and Darius Cobb and was proud of his detailed work in genealogy. He meticulously recorded family history back to 1605.

He was a member of Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church where he served as treasurer for many years.

He voraciously perused Facebook, enjoying instantly "liking" and commenting on his children and grandchildren's posts. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He cherished family dinners.
