Mrs. Ella Ackerman, widow of Ansel Ackerman, and one of the borough's oldest citizens, died at 10 o'clock last night at her home, Water and Pine streets, from complications. She had been ill about nine days. Mrs. Ackerman was about 82 years old. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. G. E. Benson of Pittsburgh, and one son, John P. Ackerman, of town. One grandson, Charles Ackerman, also survives.
Funeral services will be held at the residence, Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'lock and will be conducted by the REv. Dr. Fuller Bergstresser, pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Middletown Cemetery.
