Ernest Fischer Is Buried
Funeral services were Wednesday, February 10, at Campbell Funeral Home for Ernest Fredrick Fischer, 102, who died February 6, 1982, at the West Point Nursing Home.
Rev. Carl Schattauer, Jr., conducted the services. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Ernest Fredrick Fischer was born at Vacoma, Nebraska, to Martin and Mary Albright Fischer.
A farmer, he was married to Anna Scholl, who preceded him in death.
He married Jennie M. Olsen Petersen on May 15, 1961, in Grand Island.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie of Blair; and six sons, Robert Fischer, Don Fischer, both of Portland, Oregon; Eugene Fischer, Arlington; Benjamin Fischer, Creighton, Nebraska; Howard Fischer, West Point; and Louis Fischer of Blair. One nephew, Walter Gosker, Blair; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren also survive him.
Pallbearers were Burnell Lallman, Dean Lallman, Lyle Hindley, Gordon Rabe, Jerome Rabe and Rodney Rabe.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
