Victor was born in a white clapboard house in Lower Salem. He married Violet Rae (Shultz) Wolfe on October 27, 1932. Victor was 21 and Violet was 16. Victor went to McKinley High School in Canton at noon, October 27th and picked up Violet. They drove 100 miles across the state line to West Virginia to get married - Ohio had stricter marriage laws at the time. Then then drove back to Canton and went to their separate homes as if nothing had happened! When they told Violet's dad, Ward K. Shultz, he ripped up the marriage license. But it worked out and they were married 60 years until Victor's death in 1993.
Victor retired in 1975 from Boyle Midway where he worked for 46 years.
