Verna was born on September 20, 1927, on the family farm near Pleasant Dale, NE to John and Anne (Hodde) Lindner. Verna attended Trinity Parochial School. On June 5, 1949, Verna married Willard Spahr at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elk Slough, NE (Malcolm, NE). Verna worked as a homemaker and was also a cook at the Seward Country Club and Standard Café. Verna and Willard farmed southwest of Seward, NE. They would have been married 64 years in June. She was a good cook and baker. Verna passed away on May 5, 2013 in Seward, NE at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 15 days. Verna is survived by her husband, Willard Spahr, Seward, NE; daughters, Larrie (Robert) Daniels, Lincoln, NE, Gayle Spahr, Seward, NE; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schweitzer, Seward, NE.
