Lyda, Jr., Carl B. Age 79, died September 13, 2012 at Tabor Hills Health Care Facility, Naperville, IL. He was born in Austin, TX, May 31, 1933. Mr. Lyda graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in Chemistry, BS in Chemical Engineering and a MS in Chemical Engineering. He was a member of both the Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi academic honor societies. Carl was employed with Amoco for 35 years, retiring in 1992. He was an active member of College Church, Wheaton, IL. Carl is survived by his wife of 50 years Margaret (nee Duck) and his son Carl (Connie) of Downers Grove, and daughter Mary "Missy" Lyda of Schaumburg, IL. He is also survived by his brother Tom (Vicki) Lyda of Kingwood, TX and grandchildren Meghan, David and Katherine Lyda. A visitation will be held at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home and Crematory, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville, IL on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at College Church, 335 East Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL at 11:00 AM, Tuesday. Interment will be in Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
