Elmer E. Mansfield, 47, of Columbus, died at 5 p.m. yesterday in Alexander City, Ala., after a short illness.
Mr. Mansfield owned and operated Anne's Café in Columbus for several years. He was born May 1, 1912 in Macon, son of the late Eddie and Hattie Mansfield.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Ann Harbuck Mansfield, a son Edwin Eugene Mansfield, both of Alexander City, an uncle, John Allen, Gordon Ga.; an aunt, Mrs. Ikey Woodall, Atlanta.
MANSFIELD – Elmer E. Mansfield, 47, former resident of Columbus, died at 5 p.m. Monday in Alexander City, Ala., after a short illness. Mr. Mansfield owned and operated Anne's Café in Columbus for several years. He was born May 1, 1912, in Macon, son of the late Eddie and Hattie Mansfield. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ann Harbuck Mansfield, a son, Edwin Eugene Mansfield, both of Alexander City; an uncle, John Allen, Gordon Ga.; an aunt, Mrs. Ikey Woodall, Atlanta. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, 11 a.m. from the East Highland Assembly of God Church. Rev. Benny Jackson and Rev. Jessie E. Smith will officiate. Internment, Parkhill Cemetery. The following gentlemen will serve as active pallbearers: C. W. Franklin, W. D. Hatfield, Dan Jackson, Ronald Green, Bob Russell and Jack Rucker. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bill Gamble, Richard D. Barnett, Gabe Curry, Peter Curry, George Riddle and Ed Levy, C. Edwin Gates, Herman Moore, Lowell Daniel, Nolan Humphrey, Ralph Gibson, Roscoe Thompson, E. J. Greer, Rev. Cecil Parrish, Charles J.
